I HATE winter.

Although snow is beautiful, I can only take so much of it. I have already exceeded my limit this year and more is coming. The roads are a mess, our yard is covered and we are stuck inside again. I was hoping for a warmer day so we could take a walk or do something outside of this germ ridden house.

Yes, another reason that I hate winter is because everyone is sick. EVERYONE. My boys have a colds for weeks (with ear infections), Toby was sick and I have been sick on and off for 3 weeks now. I can't take many things because I am pregnant, so I suffer. I can't breathe, I taste no food (and yet I still eat like crazy), I have a hard time sleeping and my head feels like I am underwater. I also have a headache that I can't shake.

I hate to be a complainer, but I am DONE with this. I already did it a few weeks ago. I paid my winter dues and I am done. I just want to feel good, to taste my food, to sleep at night and to stop buying ridiculous amounts of tissues.

The last reason I hate winter is because I am tired of being cold and pale. I want to feel sunshine on my face. I want sunny days and tan skin. I want the days to be longer and to spend time outside.

It is only January.... and more snow is coming.

15 Weeks

How far along? 15 weeks
Weight gain/loss: 8 lbs
Maternity clothes? yes and loving them! I bought some new jeans and they fit great. I need a few more shirts...
Stretch marks? no
Sleep? Hmmm, last week I had a cold and I had a horrible time sleeping. But, for the most part I am sleeping much better.
Best moment this week? Hearing the heartbeat at the OBGYN
Food cravings: Toast and tea, orange juice, chocolate (Suzy Q's), Vanilla Chai Tea from DD, grilled cheese sandwiches, cereal
Gender: We still think it is a girl. In fact, last month Target was having a great sale on baby stuff. I bought girl bedding on clearance. I am pretty sure that it is a boy because I did it, but I loved the bedding and the deal was amazing. They said I have 90 days to return it, so when we find out in Feb I may be taking it back...
Belly button in or out? In
Movement? Every once in awhile. It makes me stop to see if it will continue.
What I miss? Sushi, lunch meat, summer- not related to the baby, but come on! It is so cold.
What I'm looking forward to: Finding out the sex of the baby, meeting my baby's friends (Michele and Jolene, time to have those kids!)
Weekly wisdom: Don't eat too much junk food, eat first thing in the morning, don't drink a lot of water or orange juice before bed...
Milestones: Buying maternity clothes for this pregnancy

Being Pregnant

Lately I have been thinking a lot about the fact that I am pregnant. In the beginning I was so surprised and so tired that I didn't think about it often. Now that I am feeling better I think about it all day. I think about labor (hopefully no c-section this time), breast feeding (hopefully this time), how the boys will react, having 3 children under the age of 2, and a million other things. But, the one thing that I think about the most is that this is going to be my last pregnancy. I want to enjoy ever minute. I don't want to forget anything about it. I don't want to wish it away. I like being pregnant- seeing my body change, seeing/feeling the baby grow and move, eating whatever I want.... you get the idea. Being pregnant with 15 month old twin boys is exhausting. I thought I was tired last time! Ha! That was nothing. :-) So, I can say that I am glad that this is my last pregnancy. I don't think I could do it again. But, for now, I am happy. I love my little belly. I love that Ben says "baby" all the time (not in reference me being pregnant, but it does make me think of this baby and how he will love it!). I love eating junk. I also love that after this baby I am committed to getting in shape and losing the weight.

I am turing 33 next month and I think it is going to be a great year. :-)

14 Weeks

How far along? 14 weeks
Weight gain/loss: 5-7 lbs, depending on the time of day I weigh myself
Maternity clothes? Pants- yes, shirts- some, most of my regular shirts don't cover my belly any longer...
Stretch marks? no
Sleep? Really good lately, I only get up to go to the bathroom once now. :-)
Best moment this week? Seeing my belly get bigger, looking more pregnant and less chubby
Food cravings: Toast and tea, orange juice, chocolate (Suzy Q's), Vanilla Chai Tea from DD
Gender: Toby and I both really think it is a girl, but I am wrong 99% of the time, so probably boy. :-) Either way we are happy.
Belly button in or out? In
Movement? A flutter here and there. I am noticing it more often though and I LOVE IT!
What I miss? Taking medicine when I am sick, lunch meat, having more energy, sleeping on my stomach (I still try, but it doesn't feel good).
What I'm looking forward to: Feeling the baby move more often, hearing the heartbeat today at the OBGYN.
Weekly wisdom: Eat small meals often, eat first thing in the morning, don't eat too much sugar.
Milestones: Maternity clothes, more movement

13 Weeks

This Week

How far along? 13 weeks
Weight gain/loss: 5 lbs... but I am guessing.
Maternity clothes? Yes to pants, no to shirts. I do love my maternity pants!
Stretch marks? No
Sleep? Lately I have been sleeping really good. I still get up to go to the bathroom 1-2 times a night, but overall it is a good night of sleep.
Food cravings: chocolate, OJ, toast, tea
Belly button in or out? In
Movement? I actually think I felt a flutter. I think I felt the same thing last week, but this week it seemed even more obvious. :-)
What I miss? I miss sleeping straight through the night. I miss not worrying about being pregnant.
What I'm looking forward to: feeling the baby move more often
Weekly wisdom: Don't try to do too much. Relax and enjoy this time.
Milestone: I think I felt the baby move. :-) I am also not as tired as I was last week. Yay!

Fried Egg Sandwiches

I love fried egg sandwiches. I do. I never ate them before and now I want them all the time. Toby makes them the very best. Bread, mayo, fried eggs, butter, salt and pepper. It sounds basic, but it is amazing. I crave them like I crave OJ. I still LOVE orange juice. Love it. I buy at least a gallon a week.

This pregnancy is so different than my first! Crazy. Last time I wanted milk, cottage cheese and McDonald's. This time fried egg sandwiches and OJ. :-) Now I am really hungry....

12 Weeks

This Week

How far along? 12 weeks
Weight gain/loss: 3-4 lbs, but I blame it on Christmas food!
Maternity clothes? Only pants on some days... but I do love them! Why can't all pants be zipper, button and snap free!?!?!
Stretch marks? No
Sleep? Pretty good, but I am still so tired all day. If I don't get 1-2 naps it is a rough day! And most days I do not get a nap...
Food cravings: orange juice, toast, eggs (I LOVE EGGS!)
Belly button in or out? In
Movement? Not yet
What I miss? lunch meat, sushi, feeling rested, lifting heaving things, scooping the cat litter (just kidding, that one is fine to pass to Toby!)
What I'm looking forward to: not being so tired in the 2nd trimester, wearing all maternity pants
Weekly wisdom: NAP! NAP! NAP!
Milestone: We told Facebook that we are having baby #3! The word is totally out! FUN!
